This painting started as a commission piece & then evolved into something more, it became like a truth bomb. It was the peace in the midst of chaos, the way a lion doesn’t fear but knows it’s strength. I had heard the quote before by Saint Augustine in my past but had to look it up again, “The Truth is like a lion: You don’t have to defend it. Let it loose: it will defend itself.” The truth will stand time & time again, where the lies will show their holes & their weakness over & over again. Remembering in my life where I stood in truth & it wasn’t comfortable & it took some time but it won in the end. God’s Truth is the Ultimate & Final Word that we can stay in His gaze & in His power.
